HOTEL CULTIA Dazaifu
At HOTEL CULTIA Dazaifu
Dazaifu, a place connected to the Manyoshu poem “Ume no Hana no Uta” and the origin of the Reiwa era.
Your wedding takes place at HOTEL CULTIA Dazaifu, a residence of a renowned calligrapher from the late Edo period, carefully restored and reborn in 2020.
Located beside the landmark Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, it is a refined space where timeless history meets modern design.
Reserved exclusively for one couple per day, this special setting celebrates the beginning of your new journey together.
A Moment to Feel the Living History of Dazaifu
Built in the Meiji era as the residence of the Yoshitsugu family, a lineage of artists, the house later became a beloved local restaurant.
The venue name “KOKOUAN” comes from an ancient word for plum blossoms — a symbol of Dazaifu.
Located just a minute’s walk from Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, it is an ideal setting for Shinto ceremonies. The original garden remains preserved, offering seasonal beauty viewed from the historic dining space.

A Warm, Private Wedding in a Traditional Japanese Residence
The main dining space overlooks a tranquil inner garden, where soft sunlight gently fills the room.
Reserved for only one couple per day, the venue offers a relaxed, home-like atmosphere where you can welcome your guests with warmth and sincerity.
The calm elegance of the Japanese residence naturally reflects your story and creates a moment that will remain in your hearts forever.
